Value Delivered

Jose helps clients obtain the operations, maintenance, mobile, and site-based facilities services they need to for high-performance operation and smart facilities management. He also educates current clients about the many ways in which Building Technology Engineers (BTE) can improve their maintenance and operations strategies. After listening to a client’s issues and challenges, he develops the estimates, proposals, and other paperwork necessary to start projects that enable clients to achieve their goals. He also coordinates other EMCOR companies and resources when they are needed to fully satisfy a client’s requirements. Throughout the process, he seeks to build long-term relationships by developing value-added solutions that exceed clients’ expectations, while delivering an ongoing return on their facilities investment.

Expertise

After serving as a utility systems operator with the United States Air Force, Jose joined BTE as a stationary engineer/HVAC mechanic, eventually becoming an assistant chief engineer. He then held positions as project manager and operations supervisor respectively with Johnson Controls. From Johnson Controls, he moved to Cushman & Wakefield as a campus manager and then, to Jones Lang LaSalle, where he was a senior facility manager. Before returning to BTE, he was a senior facility manager with EMCOR Facilities Services.

Jose holds a bachelor’s in business management from the University of Phoenix. He has also taken courses in the Air Force technical schools, Peterson School of Steam Engineering, Johnson Controls Institute, and Bay State Institute of Technology. In addition, he has participated in BOMA’s Facilities Management Administrator (FMA) course and the International Facilities Management Association’s (IFMA’s) Certified Facilities Manager (CFM) program.

A member of the Association for Facilities Engineers (AFE) and an associate member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), he holds air conditioning refrigeration licenses in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, a Massachusetts stationary engineer’s license, and a universal CFC (chlorofluorocarbon) certification.

The Personal Side

Away from the job, Jose enjoys his time with his family and friends. In his spare time, Jose participates in activities such as: weight lifting, mountain biking, and playing basketball.
