With more than 20 years of experience in facilities and construction management, in both government and private corporations, Paul's expertise includes operations and maintenance, facility management, cost reduction, project implementation and quality control. He started his career as a lead project engineer in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts' Office of Facilities Management. In this supervisory position, he oversaw the development, study, design and construction of projects for various state agencies. He was then promoted to the Commonwealth's Office of Construction Services as a project manager, where he directed a range of maintenance and renovation projects for the Division of Capital Planning and Operations. His projects included a $100-million maximum security prison, for which he managed the primary contractor and three teams of engineers and consultants, as well as all safety, productivity, efficiency and financial activities.

In 1998, Paul took a position as an account manager with Johnson Controls. In this role, he was responsible for three mechanical maintenance contracts covering five buildings within the Boston Government Center, including the Massachusetts State House. He was also responsible for a 24-hour monitoring service contract for the entire complex. Three years later, the company promoted him to area client service manager. In this position, he directed the area facility management team, which executed business delivery strategies and provided services for a portfolio of accounts.

In 2004, he joined EMCOR. Prior to taking his current position, he was Northeast portfolio director in charge of the company's Northeast Facilities Management Division, where he developed business strategies and guided the complete regional service delivery process.
